Visual Arts @ MMLCS
Time Flies When You Are Making Art…
Welcome to the Visual Arts webpage at MMLCS!
At Mother Mary Lange Catholic School, our curriculum is designed to give our students the opportunity to develop skills, as well as knowledge of visual arts. We teach grades Prek3 through 8, and cover a range of subject matter, styles and materials (such as pencil, watercolors, acrylic, etc.). Our students develop a critical eye as historic artwork is analyzed, as well as artwork completed by peers and artists that exist in the world today.
Students will gain an understanding of the evolution of art, from prehistoric to modern. Finally, our students have the opportunity to have their artwork displayed in various exhibitions that take place during the course of the school year.
