Through our fundraising initiatives at Mother Mary Lange Catholic School, families, alumni, and local businesses can play a vital role in supporting our mission and vision. By contributing to our efforts, they help provide quality education and enrichment programs that nurture the academic, spiritual, and personal growth of our students. Their generosity ensures that we continue to build a strong, faith-based community dedicated to excellence and service.

Family & Friend’s Day

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN FOR THE 2024 Family & Friends Day First Annual Fish Fry! Proceeds this year will benefit our STEM and STEAM programming from grades 3 to 8!!

What is a Fish Fry? 

Fish fries are a common practice among Catholics, especially during the Lenten Season. The tradition began as a way to abstain from eating meat on Fridays, as a form of fasting. It’s been suggested that African American families started hosting fish fries on Saturdays because enslaved people didn’t have time to gather and fellowship on Fridays. Fish is extremely popular in the Southern states and soul food establishments. Today, a “fish fry” is a cultural event and a way for people to get together, enjoy food, and uphold their customs.

Why do we ask for sponsors?

All proceeds from our first annual fish fry will support our STEM programming. Currently, we host four after-school programs: STEAM (grades 2-8), STEM Challenge (grades 3-5), STEM in the Real World (grades 6-8), and Girls in STEM (grades 6-8). This school year, we partnered with FIRST LEGO LEAGUE to host two elementary and middle school teams. In the summer of 2025, we will host a STEM Clinic for grades 6-8. We aim to keep STEM programming accessible and affordable for our current families.

For small businesses and individual supporters, we offer the following tiers for the Family and Friends’ 1st Annual Fish Fry in August: 

Miracle School Sponsor – $1500:

The Miracle School Sponsor will receive prominent acknowledgment at the 1st Annual Fish Fry event in August and additional acknowledgment through the school year, including MMLCS email, web, and social media communications, as well as Maker Space signage. Miracle STEM Sponsorships provide earmarked funds to support after-school STEM programs, a summer STEM clinic, and year-long programming.

STEM Sponsor – $300

The sponsor’s or organization’s logo will be featured at the event entrance, our announcer will introduce the sponsor during the event, and your name or logo will be included in the event program and on the school website.

STEAM Sponsor – $200

The sponsor’s or organization’s logo will be featured at the event entrance, our announcer will introduce the sponsor during the event, and your name or logo will be included in the event program.

Table Sponsor – $100

Sponsors who wish to reserve a table will have their names displayed at one of the seating area tables.

Family and Friends – $75 and Up

This sponsorship tier is for supporters who wish to back the annual Fish Fry fundraising event without having their names linked to any specific aspect of the event. Sponsors will receive event-related acknowledgments in print and digital media before, during, and after the event, as appropriate.
